Every child in the EU must have equal access to quality inclusive education, regardless of their place of residence or individual educational needs.
We propose to develop common EU quality guidelines for inclusive education, covering four main areas:
Class size is the appropriate number of students in the classroom according to their educational needs.
Teacher qualifications are essential competences to work with students with diverse educational needs.
Educational support specialists – ensure the availability of specialists in each educational institution.
Adapting the educational environment – adapting the physical, emotional and sensory environment to the different needs of students.
The initiative aims to reduce quality differences in inclusive education between EU countries and promote the exchange of good practices by strengthening cooperation between schools, families and local communities.
