Legislation to support tele-work and reduce traffic

Agree with this completely.  The technology is there to allow people to work remotely with effectiveness.  The benefits of enabling this in terms of work life balance, reduction of traffic and carbon emissions is potentially huge.  The challenge is cultural in many organisations, but a push from legislation would help to start the change process.

Ich denke, es geht eher um Initiativen als um Rechtsvorschriften. Eine solide Idee, aber Arbeitgeber und Arbeitnehmer müssen über fundierte Gründe verfügen, um sie anzunehmen. Produktivität z. B. niedrigere Kosten, mehr persönliche Zeit usw. Die Idee kann jedoch erweitert und ihre Vorteile vervielfacht werden. Wenn ein Arbeitnehmer Telearbeit leisten kann, warum er dies nicht von einem Ort in Südeuropa aus tun kann, in dem die Heiz- und Lebenshaltungskosten zumindest während eines Teils des Jahres niedriger sind als in seinem Wohnort? Bevor Sie die Idee ablehnen, prüfen Sie, wie viel Energie in Mittel- und Nordeuropa für Heizung, Strom usw. aufgewendet wird. Es gibt weitere Vorteile wie ein besseres Gefühl, Europäer zu sein, einen Wandel des „persönlichen Klimas“, vielleicht weniger die Notwendigkeit, im Urlaub zu reisen, und vieles mehr.
