Legislation to support tele-work and reduce traffic

Agree with this completely.  The technology is there to allow people to work remotely with effectiveness.  The benefits of enabling this in terms of work life balance, reduction of traffic and carbon emissions is potentially huge.  The challenge is cultural in many organisations, but a push from legislation would help to start the change process.

Πιστεύω ότι πρόκειται περισσότερο για πρωτοβουλίες που παρέχονται παρά για νομοθεσία. Μια ορθή ιδέα, αλλά οι εργοδότες και οι εργαζόμενοι πρέπει να έχουν βάσιμους λόγους να την υιοθετήσουν. Παραγωγικότητα, για παράδειγμα, χαμηλότερο κόστος, περισσότερος προσωπικός χρόνος κ.λπ. Η ιδέα μπορεί να διευρυνθεί και να πολλαπλασιαστεί τα οφέλη της. Εάν ένας εργαζόμενος μπορεί να τηλεργασθεί, τότε γιατί όχι από ένα μέρος της Νότιας Ευρώπης όπου τα έξοδα θέρμανσης και διαβίωσης είναι χαμηλότερα από εκείνα της οικίας τους, τουλάχιστον για ένα μέρος του έτους; Προτού απορρίψετε την ιδέα, ελέγξτε πόση ενέργεια δαπανάται για θέρμανση, ηλεκτρική ενέργεια κ.λπ. στην Κεντρική και Βόρεια Ευρώπη. Υπάρχουν και άλλα οφέλη, όπως η καλύτερη αίσθηση του Ευρωπαίου, η αλλαγή του «προσωπικού κλίματος», ίσως λιγότερο η ανάγκη μετακίνησης για διακοπές και πολλά άλλα.
