Drugs with a chance of very serious health affects like Stevens Johnson Syndrome are given approval.

Drugs that cost 6 times more than others—with no added quality or difference, are being prescribed on the NHS.

I was prescribed based on a ten minute conversation a highly addictive drug with a risk of brain zaps and suicide. There was zero evidence or diagnosis for this treatment.

I have been offered in-house unnecessary tests, I suspect for personal financial gain.

I have also known medical reps who told me they offer holidays for doctors to prescribe their drugs.

Drugs are being approved by a specific country’s medical board instead of the EMA.

It is not medically ethical:

- To approve drugs with even a 1% chance of a very severe health effect.

- To bribe doctors into prescribing or promoting specific drugs.

- To prescribe treatments or procedures for financial gain.

-For politicians, doctors or research scientists to make drug choices based on:

--Commissions

--Gifts

--Holidays

--Compensation

--Shares gifts/ investments

--Conditional grants

made to themselves, their family, their corporations, research group, department or local institutions.

An EU Medical Ethics Act is required to Monitor, Eliminate & Penalise Financial Interests between:

- Doctors & medical reps

- Pharmaceutical companies & ministries of health

- Pharmaceutical companies & research

- Pharmaceutical companies & health experts promotions

Decisions need to be made based on safety and efficacy not on money or favours provided by pharmaceutical Companies. The patient needs to be thoroughly evaluated for the necessity and suitability of the drug and closely monitored for long-term use and dangerous adverse effects. Currently there are no detailed evaluations, check-ups or monitoring.
