According to the UN in the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the oceans then fish. This is toxic for animals and humans. Some plastic is on the surface of the water, a lot of it is floating and a part is on the seafloor.About 40% is fishingnets!
In all cases we have to catch it, dry it and then burn it in a special oven.Without drying it will not burn. We will dry it under the sun on the (slippery)deck and even by the heat coming from the oven,On a conveyor belt in the ship.
In the picture we see as an example an old aircraftcarrier with cranes to put the plastic and debris on deck from the fishingboats, to dry. After some time it will be transported to the oven to be burned at very high temperature. Smoke will be filtered.Fisherboats will bring in the garbage but we might also adjust the big boat with trawls itself so it becomes a giant fishingboat.(trawling is a method of fishing that involves actively dragging or pulling a trawl through the water behind one or more trawlers. Trawls are fishing nets that are pulled along the bottom of the sea or in midwater at a specified depth). We can use smaller boats to clean rivers.
This has to be a joined strike effort with the Navy and civilians working closely together supported by governements, international organisations and donors and volunteers.
We have to stop the influx (90% from only ten rivers) now and the clean up for years.
ALSO THE USE OF POLY LACTIC ACID AS A PLASTIC WOULD HELP A LOT. YOU CAN EVEN COMPOST IT!
