An EU Food and chemical Composition Database is Required

As more sensitivities and intolerances arise, unique nutrients or chemical alternative information is required by EU citizens to adjust their diet and lifestyle for their unique health issues and preferences.

An online EU Food and Chemical Composition database is required by EU citizens so they can search via natural food and natural nutrient. With detailed nutrients and food composition like this database: https://www.foodstandards.gov.au/science/monitoringnutrients/afcd/Pages…

As well as a search feature for processed food and chemical products sold within the EU. The chemicals need to be clickable and their composition and risk need to be made accessible.

The EU is far more professional and will provide detailed, in-depth and accurate information for EU citizens which current online databases do not provide.

It is very important that natural food and processed food is separated in the search results as people who only eat natural food find their search results cluttered, frustrating and time-consuming in other inadequate online databases.

Dear Julia,

Thanks a lot for sharing your idea. We are looking forward to follow the discussion here on the Forum.

On that note: do you know about the Food safety initiative that the European Commission is implementing? Maybe some elements of it could be an interesting contribution to this discussion.

Best regards,
