I understand ever so well that the rich parts of the world like Europe and the USA prioritize themselves in vaccinating and protecting their citizens.
After all, the rich countries are the motor of the world economy and without them, there probably wouldn’t even be a vaccination.
Nevertheless, there is a problem.
Viruses are smarter than one thinks. If we forget one ‘unimportant’ region in the world, the virus will cleverly develop itself into a variant that is fully immune against the current vaccination. Such a variant would hit the rest of the world within a few weeks.
When that happens, we are back in December 2019!
There is really no other way than vaccinating the entire world, poor and rich and it had to happen at a racing speed!
The planet’s financial funds have to be allocated to this purpose at all costs! We need decentralized production everywhere and there is no time to quarrel about costs or national interests. The powerful parts of the world under which Europe need to take the lead in this!
