Failing production of Corona vaccination

I am very impressed by the speed at which pharma concerns like Pfizer and Moderna have developed their vaccination against Corona.

Their production policy, however, is total let-down.

Their production capacity is obviously unable to supply the entire planet within a short period.

They fail to delegate their production to other manufacturers, for which they wouldn't even have to give up on their patents. By licensing their product to other manufacturers they can still get their fair share on the development investments they made.

This is just a question of decent organizing and less introverted thinking by both the industry as well as the rich countries.

We can only win the war against Corona, if we win it worldwide including the poor countries!

Rich countries, please push!

Hello,

Thank you very much for sharing your idea and to start a new discussion thread! We have read your contribution with great interest.

Do you think that a European Citizens’ Initiative should actively tackle issues related to health politics? Do you have a proposal on how such an initiative could look like?

Please note that, currently, there is an ongoing initiative called “Right to cure". It is also active in the field of health (https://citizens-initiative.europa.eu/initiatives/details/2020/000005_en)

Please tell us more about your views on this. We are looking forward to learning about it.

You could use a better title, eg: "free knowledge and production rights of corona vaccins"

I think it is better to have a positive title for positive projects.
