I propose to create a free digital platform where early childhood educators can find concrete examples of play activities and ideas on how to adapt them to children with different educational needs.
While examples of immersive games already exist, educators would benefit from having one easily accessible place to collect and systematise actionable ideas. Each description of the game would include its purpose, the necessary tools, the course of activities and possible adaptations so that all children can participate according to their abilities and needs.
The platform would allow educators from different European Union countries to share tried-and-tested activities and good practices. The content would be available in several languages and developed in accordance with the principles of universal design for learning.
I propose that the European Union promote the creation of such a platform and contribute to its funding. This would make it easier for educators to plan inclusive play activities and create more opportunities for each child to play, learn and interact with their peers together.
The opinions expressed on the ECI Forum reflect solely the point of view of their authors and can in no way be taken to reflect the position of the European Commission or of the European Union.
