Hello!

Im looking for others who might be intrested in developing this enitiative together as co-orginiser.

---------------------------------------

ID verification and the use of it in age verification for the internet has been growing strongly worldwide and is already being tested and implemented in some countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, and some states in the USA. This conserns me becaus of how its handeld by the companies and in giving out ID everywere can envoke a big risk in security and privacy by the information being leked or mishandeld.

not being able to be anonymous on the internet is a huge risk of not being to exersice fredome of exprestion and speach. As well as being easely tracked and monitord in the weeb.

I want to create a ECI to prevent most platfrom from staritng to ask for ID verification or other type of identifier that is directly linked to a person. And exercise the right to privacy and anonymity.

1. Only public services run by the government themselves can request for government ID verification or other type of identifier that is directly linked to a person when said person is using their services.

2. Scanning personal devices for any information can not be performed without notifying and being given the consent of the user or without any reasonable cause for suspicion.

3. Online services can not request government ID verification or other type of identifier that is directly linked to a person when asking for their age and may only request the users age when the content by law can not be shown to a certain age groupp and only warn users when thers an age recomendation

--------------------------------------

This is not set in stone and im open for sugestions on changes or aditions to what has ben made so far. i wuld love to here your thots on this and if you want to be a part of this enitiative, dont hesitate to reach out at

Hello Elias,

As a Software Engineer I cannot help ,but look at this on a technical manner rather than a lawmaker one.

I think this is a great  initiative and I fully support it. The biggest issue with ID requirement isn't the requirement itself as much as how the data is going to be handled. There have already been some ongoing discussions about new EU platforms rolling out with a lot of cybersecurity flaws and several OSS proving the techniques needed to bypass the so imposed "barrier".

I think that the best digitally architectural decision would be for the EU to create a government owned platform with a security-first system design and enforce pentesting sessions as a proof of it's stability including a threshold that would establish what success is defined under, therefore each platform of any EU country that would require an age verification will be piped to the government owned software the same way you easily log everywhere with Google's oAuth.

All of this can be simply proposed on a public tender. There will have to be some budget involved too.

However I can help, I would.

Best wishes,
Leónard Geonov
