EU needs new laws against forced marketing

I recently bought a chair which had a 3 year warranty + 2 years more if you take a pic of the chair, write #thecompanyname and share it in your social media. You cannot get extended warranty if you don't do this process. I think this is forced and manipulative way of marketing. It might sound harmless at first but when its happening on a larger scale, it becomes a problem.

A Singaporean company called Secretlab does this. The chairs have now over 10000 reviews and average score for the chair is 4,9/5. The score is highly misleading because the vast majority of the votes come from people pursuing the extended warranty. I think this is something that needs to be addressed and hopefully EU will be global forerunner in protecting consumers.

Please share your thoughts.
